Ella Pollett, an 18-year-old singer/songwriter sensation from Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, releases of her latest single, "Blue." This emotionally charged track marks another milestone in Ella’s growing catalog of heartfelt music.

Inspired by a casual outing with friends, "Blue" was born from a moment of introspection. Ella recalls, "I was just looking into the distance, not really thinking about anything, and my friend was talking to me, waving her hands, saying 'Ella, is anyone home?' I came home, thought about it, and 20 minutes later I had a song."

Ella has once again collaborated with Nigel from The Stomach in Palmerston, who previously worked on her acclaimed song "In Your Arms," a finalist in the Play It Strange Peace Song competition. Nigel's expertise shines through in "Blue," capturing the raw emotion and depth of Ella’s songwriting.

Despite her young age, Ella has already made significant waves in the music scene. From her beginnings as a street performer to sharing the stage with legendary artists like Rod Stewart at the prestigious Mission Concert, her powerful and enthralling vocals have captivated audiences far and wide.

Ella's talent has not gone unnoticed. She was a 2023 finalist in the esteemed Play It Strange competition and a two-time winner of Rockquest in 2021 and 2022, solidifying her place as one of Hawke’s Bay's most promising musical talents.
