For today’s Video of the Day, BIG FAN TONES present proud sun-soaked Westies: Double Parked.

Hailing from the lush landscapes of West Auckland, it’s a no-brainer that the band, personalities and music embodies the sun-soaked vibes of the beach and the untamed spirit of the West coast bush. Their music is a frothy blend of surf rock mixed with personal charm, and raw emotion.

When you unravel the layers of energy and expert musicianship, you find a group of good friends who share a deep respect for each other and an attitude that fills the room with fun and positivity.

Their journey began at raucous Westie house parties, where they shook the floors and left an indelible mark. Their debut EP Lost in the Groove is a sonic adventure. Five tracks that traverse the highs and lows of life—frothy tunes about catching waves, juxtaposed with emotive alt-ballads that tug at the heartstrings. It’s a journey through roses and thorns.

We love seeing artists and bands embrace the opportunity perform live and Double Parked delivered a wild and engaging ride in front of our cameras and also at their recent headline show at Galatos!
