Today’s Video of the Day is a sheer heart-warmer from local dream-pop four-piece: Phoebe Rings. The band marked their return last year with ‘아스라이 (Aseurai)’: a “wishful message for those we can no longer see, and those we deeply miss.”

Directed by Nahyeon Lee, the music video for ‘아스라이 (Aseurai)’ is a wonderland of creativity. From Hanna Shim’s giant mushroom sculptures to the delicate ruffles of frontwoman Crystal Choi’s 6×4 dress, we are transported into the magical dreamscape of Phoebe Rings.

‘아스라이 (Aseurai)’ is a perfect example of the brilliance behind Phoebe Rings. The innovative mind of Crystal Choi has also led her to her role as Instrument Lead at Melodics. Since 2014, Melodics has become a staple in many musicians’ homes, allowing them to self-teach and practise within a purpose-built software.
